Chanel's Vitalumiere vs Maybelline's Fit Me

Chanel Vitalumiere SPF 15, Maybelline Fit Me SPF 18

I've been on the hunt for the perfect foundation for my skin type (normal/dry) for quite sometime now. I've tried both high-end products as well as drugstore brands. My skin is super sensitive so there's only so much it can take and I was beginning to lose hope, until my sister in law introduced me to the Chanel Vitalumiere foundation.

The price was pretty steep but it was well worth the try since I was desperate to find something that will work with my severly dry skin face. And surely enough, it worked! This water based foundation kept my face hydrated and covered my dry patches incredibly well. The only con I can really think of was it's staying power. This baby costed me nearly $60 bucks though, ouch. I mean even though it will probably last me a whole year because I only wear make-up on special occasions, I still didn't want to pay that much. So I went on a hunt for a cheaper alternative.

That's when I came across Maybelline's Fit Me foundation. As you can see from the swatch, they look nearly identical! The consistency is EXACTLY the same and it blends onto my face EXACTLY the same. Fit Me actually matched my skin a lot better and the staying power of it may actually just beat Chanel. Only $5 dollars! You can't beat that :)

So if you have normal/dry skin like I do, I definitely recommend you go out and give these two foundations a try. Good luck!
